Vasseur on Hamilton: "I'm not interested in the hype around him, but in his performance."

Vasseur on Hamilton: "I'm not interested in the hype around him, but in his performance."

The Ferrari team principal is aware that the moment Lewis Hamilton puts on the red overalls, hell will break loose. Nevertheless, Frederic Vasseur indicated that he is not interested in any of that, only in the performance seen on the track...

The Scuderia boss does not care how much hype there will be; he wants to focus solely on the work and demands the same from the newly arrived driver:

"I don't care about the hype; we need to focus on the upcoming season. A very busy period awaits us, starting from the presentation day, and I want everyone to be occupied with performance. The season-opening event is coming, the car presentation, which is already two events that are more than enough. I want us to exclude the show and only focus on how we can be better. The car presentation is already two events, which I think is simply too much. This is more than enough! I would like performance improvement to be at the forefront, not the show."

"This is always a serious challenge, as only six weeks pass from early January to the London presentation, and it won't be easy. But Lewis already has experience in these matters; he is not a rookie, so I am not worried about the pressure he will face. He will only have a few days to adapt to everything before the tests, but we have our simulator where he can get to know the steering operation, all the characteristics of the car, and complete qualifying and race simulations. Additionally, he will have a second home in Milan to spend as much time with us as possible." - reflected on the tasks ahead by the team principal.
