Not only does it look good on the outside, but allegedly, it has also undergone radical changes technically this year.
Bruno Famin, the team principal, was quick to remind that the car presented is not a demo but the actual 2024 race car, which has been completely transformed in every aspect. The biggest issue with their car last year was its narrow operating window, especially struggling a lot on the technical side with the downforce suspension combo. Excessive drag was also a problem, leading to a 20-30 horsepower deficit compared to competitors. Even the energy recovery system did not work flawlessly.
Matt Harman, the technical director, stated that this year's changes address these issues. They have redesigned the front and rear wings, as well as the aerodynamics of the car's body, and many things have changed under the cover as well. They expect significant improvement with their aggressive approach in Enstone. Looking at just the appearance of the car, we can say they are on the right track!
