Schumacher: "Crying is not embarrassing, crying is cool!!"

Schumacher: "Crying is not embarrassing, crying is cool!!"

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

Everyone remembers the "interlude" that interrupted the first start of the Australian Grand Prix, Isaac Hadjar's accident, the young driver's despair, and Anthony Hamilton's consolation.

They also remember that Helmut Marko directly called Hadjar's behavior "embarrassing," furthermore unmanly and unworthy of an athlete. Ralf Schumacher, on the other hand, was not impressed by Marko's opinion.

"I personally wouldn't have done that, but I understand how hard it is for a driver preparing for their first F1 race to process this in that moment. Up until then, he had delivered a sensational performance, he had a chance to debut with a nice result, scoring points, and then this happened. He felt he let his team down. Not to mention that Red Bull is not exactly an environment that is very tolerant of mistakes... But to say that his despair and crying would be embarrassing? I think quite the opposite, this can happen to anyone under such circumstances. It's cool to own your feelings!" - Schumacher stood up for the young driver in a sportsmanlike manner.

What do you think, is it really embarrassing for an athlete to cry?
