Max Verstappen said in the moments of joy after the race that he could have certainly won the 2024 world championship with McLaren, or even Ferrari. Several people asked his boss in astonishment how the fresh winner could say such a thing?
"He can say this on the basis that it is completely true. There is no longer a driver who could have beaten him, only himself, and there is no other driver who could have won a championship behind the wheel of a Red Bull. And since he was not in the best car, it is evident that he would have had a chance for the world championship title in another one as well. It was a difficult and fluctuating season, but I am not sure that we will be as successful in 2025... If we can give him a car that is not as temperamental as this year's, then yes, Max will make it." - Helmut Marko commented.
