If there is something that can be called the negative sensation of the season, it is clearly Liam Lawson's struggle. The young driver from Red Bull Racing is performing so poorly that his team might drop him before the Japanese Grand Prix...
Max Verstappen, of course, has his opinion on the situation, who - even if it may not necessarily come across from the context - defended his teammate:
"We know, we see that the drivers in each other team are close to each other. This also shows that our car is extremely tough, very difficult to drive. I think if Liam Lawson were to switch to the Racing Bulls now, he would immediately be faster and more competitive. That car is much easier to drive than ours. I wouldn't have thought it would work like this last year, the team saw the difference between Yuki Tsunoda and him, that's why they put him in the other Red Bull Racing car." - said Max Verstappen.
