Trouble at Ferrari: Did the team discipline Hamilton?

Trouble at Ferrari: Did the team discipline Hamilton?

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

Anyone who follows Lewis Hamilton's debut with Scuderia Ferrari may have already noticed that the Brit is lacking his usual antics this time. Elegant, measured, almost exemplary. Like a true sportsman! It seems he is not doing this of his own accord...

The seven-time world champion also "tried out" some interesting things with the Italians, such as an uncoordinated agreement with a clothing sponsor. Hamilton announced during last week's tests that he would be the face and ambassador of a fashion brand called Lululemon. However, he forgot to inform Scuderia Ferrari and the team's official clothing partner, Puma, about this. The Germans were so upset by the move that reportedly John Elkann, the president of Ferrari, had to calm the tempers.

Ultimately, with Elkann's special permission, Hamilton can collaborate with the aforementioned company, but only on the condition that he considers Puma's business interests in the future. As a consequence of the fuss, Hamilton was forced to dress properly (meaning, without any divisive extreme appearances) in Bahrain, and we saw him in Puma's official Scuderia Ferrari outfits every day.
