For example, Toto Wolff's farewell to his favorite champion, who indicated there's one last big move to come:
"Our relationship has been the most successful collaboration in Formula 1 history, something I'll always be incredibly proud of. Lewis Hamilton will always be an important part of the Mercedes family and its history, but we also knew that at some point, this collaboration would come to an end. That day has now arrived, and we accept his decision eagerly awaiting the opportunities of the new era. However, this is still future music, as we have one last big move ahead of us, focusing on delivering the best performance possible in 2024."
Lewis Hamilton bids farewell in advance, quoted in the Mercedes statement:
"I've spent an incredible eleven years with this team, and I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved together. The Mercedes brand has been part of my life since childhood, so leaving is the hardest decision I've ever had to make. However, I've reached a point where it's time to start something new. I'll always be very grateful for the incredible support of Mercedes, the friendship of Toto Wolff, and my only wish is that we end our journey together strongly. I am fully committed to giving my best and making my farewell special!"
