Other drivers showed resilience and recovery, with Hadjar’s podium finish standing out after his recent injury and Antonelli’s recovery from a qualifying incident to finish in the top five. The race also saw mixed fortunes for teams like Aston Martin, who faced a double retirement, and Haas, with both drivers finishing but off the podium.
With this result, Russell has narrowed the championship gap to Antonelli to 66 points as the season progresses towards the next round in Bahrain.
