Victory is a beautiful thing, the championship title even more so, but perhaps the most beautiful is when rivals acknowledge you. Especially when those you look up to as role models do.
Max Verstappen has never made a secret of how much he respects and admires Fernando Alonso. Now Alonso has not held back... One of the greatest champions of all time, if not the greatest, paid tribute to Verstappen while also shedding light on a very interesting point:

Not just because he won his fourth title, but because he did it with a car that was far from dominant. We often saw flashes from him that can’t be attributed to the car, but to the genius. The best example is the Brazilian Grand Prix, where he showed what true talent means.
This year, there was no better driver than him, we can all learn from him!" - praised Max Verstappen by the two-time world champion Spaniard.
