Oscar Piastri has set the bar high over the past two years, and this year he aims to raise it even further. The Australian is not satisfied with a secondary role and wants to collect the individual championship title alongside the constructors' title!
In his first season, he finished in 9th place, in his second he was 4th, and this year he is openly and covertly targeting the individual world championship title:
“I believe I can step up as a contender in the fight for the 2025 World Championship. I am aware that there is still room for improvement and learning, but I have reached a point where there are days when I am fully equipped with everything needed for victory. I just need to be able to put everything together. Many have said that I lacked consistency, but just having consistency is not enough to be successful; raw speed and good tire management are also essential. I mainly see that I needed to step up in qualifying, to better piece together my laps.
Often, I made things very difficult for myself by finishing just behind the achievable positions... Now I have reached a point where I just need to put everything together. We are already competing in the top field, and it becomes much more evident if you are not doing something really well, but I feel that I have everything within me that is needed for a world championship victory.” - Oscar Piastri stated confidently.
