Sergio Perez has lost to Max Verstappen on every front so far, but now everything is changing: Here comes the new floor!
The Mexican driver has had virtually no momentum in 2024, often struggling just to make it into Q2 during qualifying. The fact that he is still part of Red Bull Racing is nothing short of a miracle, yet Perez remains hopeful and aims to compete at the front in Las Vegas!
"As far as I know, I will now receive the same specifications that Max has used in the previous races, particularly regarding the floor. I will also get this now, which gives me confidence, and I believe that I can be at the front of the field as well. The team knows me, they know what I am capable of (...), they are familiar with all the data and information regarding me, which is why they extended my contract.
This season has been quite difficult so far; I am not going through the easiest phase of my career, but I am hopeful that I will be able to achieve good results in the last three races of the year." - Perez confidently represented himself.
