Here is the list: They earned the most in 2024

Here is the list: They earned the most in 2024

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

For some strange reason, there is always great interest surrounding the salary list of Formula 1 drivers, which has now been published by Forbes magazine.

In its "estimate," the economic magazine Forbes has reported today, including base salaries and bonuses, in US dollars, which ten drivers earned the most in this year's championship. At the top of the rankings is the now four-time world champion Max Verstappen, who boasts 75 million.

Lewis Hamilton has no reason to be ashamed either, but Lando Norris, who stands at the bottom of the imaginary income podium, is already at a chasmic distance from the top 2. It is interesting to observe how strongly bonuses play into the total amount. There are also curiosities, such as how humorously Carlos Sainz Jr. or Pierre Gasly can end up behind Sergio Perez, but Oscar Piastri's low base salary is also more than surprising...

You can find the top ten list below:

Driver    Base  /  Bonus  /  Total earnings
1.    Max Verstappen    60  / 15 / 75
2.    Lewis Hamilton    55  /  2  / 57
3.    Lando Norris    12  /  23 / 35
4.    Fernando Alonso    24  /  3.5  /  27.5
5.    Charles Leclerc    15  /  12  /  27
6.    George Russell    15  /  8  /  23
7.    Oscar Piastri    5  /  17  /  22
