Argentine Grand Prix: Initial discussions have taken place

Argentine Grand Prix: Initial discussions have taken place

Franco Collapinto's meteoric rise and performance could signify not only the beginning of a new career but also a nation's return to Formula 1. Moreover, it could bring back a grand prix with a rich tradition!

This is none other than the Argentine Grand Prix, for which official negotiations have already begun in Brazil. The Argentine delegation was represented by the country's tourism and sports minister, while Formula 1 was represented by Stefano Domenicali. After the discussions, Cesar Carman, the president of the Argentine Automobile Club, spoke about the plans and ideas:

"Stefano was really open and kind to us. He said he would like to see another grand prix on the calendar, but he also made it clear that he expects a lot of work from us, and we need to get started as soon as possible if our intentions are serious. We have a lot to do; we need to improve our current track to obtain the highest level of accreditation required for F1. We are very optimistic, but it’s hard to predict. However, if I must, I think an Argentine Grand Prix could become a reality in 2027-2028. I won't deny that Franco Colapinto's debut and successes motivate us a lot; many things are happening because of him. The fans are excited, everyone is buzzing; these are dreamlike days in Argentina right now." - Carman stated.
