Albon is cheerful: Will the new Williams be strong?

Albon is cheerful: Will the new Williams be strong?

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

Without excess weight, in perfect balance, a race-winning pilot with all the experience is heading into 2025 with Williams. Alexander Albon is happy to be part of it all!

Today, the 2025 Williams was unveiled and immediately taken to the track, receiving excellent feedback:

"Everything is going great, and that was proven on the track today. We have made significant progress in terms of quality, the guys at the factory have done an excellent job. We can confidently say that the FW47 represents a clear step forward. Last year we lost a lot of time due to exceeding the weight limit, but we improved the materials used and the quality of manufacturing, which gives us a much better starting position. Our previous car was very weak in headwinds, and we refined a lot on this as it caused us a lot of headaches. GPS data revealed that we struggled significantly even in windy conditions.

We need to see where the competition stands, but all in all, I am very positive. I want to see us progress, to get into a good position, but it's already a very good sign that we are essentially operating as a top team. With Carlos Sainz's arrival, we have made a huge leap forward; he is a great asset to the team! Carlos had the best season of his life last year, delivering a sensational performance. He will be a good benchmark for me, I can learn a lot from him, and I hope he will learn from me as well.” – Alexander Albon stated appreciatively.
