Rosberg: "A serious storm is brewing at Ferrari..."

Rosberg: "A serious storm is brewing at Ferrari..."

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

The 2016 world champion has heard that not only is Frederic Vasseur's team leader position in serious danger, but the entire infrastructure could also move out of Italy.

Nico Rosberg is considered quite well-informed in F1 circles, and this holds true for Scuderia Ferrari as well:

"I think I know a bit about Ferrari's internal relations, so it's completely clear to me that their operational level does not match that of the teams built on British foundations, e.g. Mercedes. The culture in Italy is different, the mindset is different, the relationships are different, and all of these together make things difficult for them, ultimately affecting their competitiveness as well. Moreover, the hierarchy is opaque, there are too many decision-makers, even Lewis Hamilton doesn't know who to turn to in certain cases. Who will be the one who actually does something for the cause, not just complain..."

Of course, this problem is felt and recognized at the highest levels as well; a serious storm is brewing, and they are considering moving from Maranello to England. I heard this with my own ears. Of course, having both an English and an Italian center brings another challenge: good communication. That's not an easy task, but if they want to be successful again in the long term, they will have to make changes..."
