Adrian Newey has started working at Aston Martin and has already outlined the directions that can lead the team to success.
According to legend, the most important role in this is played by people, because no matter how high-tech the approach is, if there is no personnel behind it:
"Lawrence Stroll's investment has given us an incredible facility, the best in Formula 1. Our job is to optimize it and use it as effectively as possible. At the same time, we must not forget that F1 is about people. No matter how much good technology you have behind you, it is the people who drive the project forward.
We have many talented people, but I cannot deny that there are areas where we need to strengthen our human resources. We need to better coordinate everything and everyone to use the technology entrusted to us more efficiently and to develop our capabilities!
One area where we need growth is aerodynamics: we need to decide which directions can bring us the most and focus our resources there. Of course, this is a double-edged sword, as there is always the risk of going down the wrong path. It may take a long time to find out whether something will be viable or not. I have never liked instructing an engineer colleague to stop working on something, but now it will be my task to do so if such a situation arises." - Adrian Newey provided insight into his multifaceted responsibilities.
