Recent technical directives and ongoing discussions suggest a willingness to adapt, possibly by slightly widening the allowed operating window for clutches, or by standardizing some components across the field. While purists might balk at any standardization, proponents say it would return the initiative to drivers, reducing the risk that starts become a ‘bet’ decided by electronics and luck.
